What's this? Wild Paldean Pokemon?
LOCATION: Gilterrace Town - Churahana Flower Shop
[Out at the front of the store Manzana can be spotted sweeping stray leaves. All the while he doesn't notice there's a tiny little helper walking around the vicinity. Said little helper--a Gimmighoul in its roaming form eventually stopped, and stared at a Coinpur that was napping right at the steps of the flower shop's door.
It’s not until Manzana moves away from sweeping to rearrange one of the floral decorations that he catches Gimmighoul from the corner of his eyes. Halting his work he turned to look at Gimmighoul. Taking note of how it was tugging at Coinpurs’ coin a deep frown formed on Manzana’s lips.]
Gimmighoul don't you dare touch that coin! It isn't for you! [There’s a pause.] ...wait a second, a Gimmighoul? Here...?
[There’s a startled sound Gimmighoul lets out before running leaving a stunned Manzana.]
...wait! Gimmighoul, come back!
Location: Route 1
[Manzana can be seen with a group of Smolivs in his arms. He’s holding them tight as they’re letting out terrified screams. The problem wasn’t the fact he was carrying them as he ran–the problem was what was behind them: a very, angry Ulternian Dunsparce.
If anyone were to come across him, while Manzana won’t stop in his tracks he will call out to them.]
Run! It’s Dunsparce! Ay, I didn’t–ah!! Run!!! They’re dangerous!
[He’s yelling out in rapid succession. It seemed he was not only concerned for the shivering Pokemon he held but also the safety of anyone else in Dunsparce’s line of sight.]

I'll throw in a Banyan tag after Alice's next tag! (ouo)b
[Manzana commented as he followed in behind Alice. The lab is a picture of nice and calm minus the trail of papers stern here and there. Manzana knelt down and began to pick up some of the papers. Taking a look he'll note they're all handwritten notes on different Pokemon. No doubt Professor Banyan's work.
He glanced around and began to call out.]
Ulsai? Professor Banyan are you in?
no subject
The professor must have a lot of research going on. It's no surprise with the kinds of phenomena we've seen! Oh, right -- hello? Is anyone here?
no subject
Chikochiko!
Hm?? What is it, Chikorita?
[The Professor is stepping into the lab with what looked like a mug of coffee in his hand. He's lifting his gaze up from his Chikorita to both Alice and Manzana.]
Oh! Ulsai! Please excuse the mess here, I wasn't expecting any guests today.
no subject
Ulsai to you as well! I'm Alice. But Manzana here found these Pokémon -- they're not native to here, they were drifted and actually fell onto him. So he was headed here for help. Do I have that right?
[She crouches down and offers the Chikorita pets.]
Oh, you're friendly! Are you a regional form? Or something else?
gonna tag as Manzana and then Banyan!
Ah, yes! I found these Smolivs and I figured they would be in safe hands in your care, Professor Banyan, sir!
[He couldn't help but be polite to the man standing before them.]
no subject
[Banyan apologized as he noticed Alice bumping into the tables. He had only assumed it was due to how many of his notes he had accidentally left stern about. As he's picking some up to tidy his work space a little, he turned his focus to both Alice and Manzana.]
Chikorita here's one of my partner Pokemon. He's quite friendly--I ain't sure what they're like outside of Ultern but they all look like this here, in Ultern. So I suppose ya can say he's a regional variant.
[Banyan chuckled, while Chikorita let out a happy cry as Alice gave him a pet. Yay!!! New friend!
Banyan meanwhile lifted his attention back to Manzana and the Smolivs. He's unable to hide any intrigue on his face, as he made his way closer.]
Hm? Did these Pokemon just drift here? I've never seen any Pokemon like them before...but based on appearance alone, they must be grass type Pokemon, aren't they?

no subject
[Manzana interrupted, while trying not to be rude to Alice. After all there was a lot she knew that went completely over his head but he could at least provide information on Smoliv.]
Smoliv has two types--not counting any with Tera typings. They're normal and grass.
no subject
Gosh, and there goes Manzana bringing up another term he hadn't heard. Tera types... he really, really wanted to ask. In fact his hands were itching to pull out his notepad but there were more pressing matters at hand. Smiling, he'll look between the two.]
Well, I can help find them a new home with the Rangers. They usually deal with displaced Pokemon. ...of course there's also the option of either of you two, or the both of you adopting 'em too but I ain't about to force either of ya to do that.
no subject
[She hesitates. There's no right way to ask this. Things were safe for years after OLDEN, they'd all seen their lost friends in the wild again, but then that... whatever it was last year. Two runs almost lost, two hosts haunted and shutting down. Alice walks in a circle and stops.]
Is the PC safe here?
no subject
[Manzana smiled in what he hoped was a reassuring gesture for her before continuing.]
I have accessed the PC here when I first arrived to Ultern. I don't know how, or why but my Pokemon that I had left behind were all there waiting for me. I suppose it's easier to connect to our boxes from here, even if they're in Faraway Places.
no subject
I can give ya two my word that the system here is safe as well. Heck, I don't mind watching over yer Pokemon too if you'd prefer that instead of using your Boxes. Heck, it ain't no trouble if ya rather have the Smolivs all in my care too.
no subject
Thanks. Sorry about the trouble, I know it's a strange question to ask. [Even back home, most people would've given weird looks if they didn't already know.] But really, they're all there? The Pokémon Storage System works normally? I'd have to have a look at it, but...
[Of course, she had always been safe. Her only release was still alive, good old Ziggy, and Dad... even with everything he'd done, everything he'd said he'd do, he'd never once actually harmed Alice or her team. And now she'd seen versions of him who really were the good-natured guy he'd claimed to be. But still, echoes were ringing in her head.]
Oh -- yes! I'd b down. I guess I could take one, if that works. As long as no one's going to get hurt.
no subject
[Manzana trailed and looked over to Professor Banyan who in response smiled reassuringly.]
While I didn't make the Storage System I know the company that's responsible for it. They're quite thorough about their work, so your Pokemon are in safe hands that's for sure.
[At Alice's response to the Smolivs, Banyan's expression lit up. He'll lean down to be at eye level with them.]
Whaddya think lil' ones? Any of ya wanna travel along with a trainer?
[One of the Smolivs enthusiastically wiggled, slipping away to trot up close to Alice. If anything, it seemed rather curious about Alice.]
no subject
Hello! What should I call you?
[As if expecting the Pokémon to answer -- or then again, maybe it's just polite. She thinks for a moment, almost recalling tens of thousands of people keysmashing to think of a name.
f8weh
Good a name as any.]
Hmm... Fate? That'll do! All right, nice to meet you! I'm Alice. I'm sure you'll get along with my friends.
no subject
Looks like Smoliv--sorry, Fate likes you. Here, you can use this as Fate's Pokeball.
[Banyan will hold out the Pokeball that resembled the Premier Ball out for Alice to take.]
Oh, that's right one more thing. It's not uncommon for the people here to keep their Pokemon outside of their boxes too, so that's an option for ya too. I don't think anyone'll mind yer Pokemon pals tagging along with ya.
no subject
Oh, thanks! I'll keep it in mind. I usually keep my whole team on me, but if it's not a problem to store one, that might work well too. Sorry, the PC where I'm from... it's a long story.
no subject
You don't hafta force yourself to talk about it if it's hard, but I'm here if ya need anything.
[Professor Banyan offered in a soft tone. He didn't want Alice to be upset...! But he made sure she knew he was open to listen if she was comfortable enough to talk.]
Ah, that's right. You can also leave any Pokemon you want in my care here too. I've got plenty of space here, especially since a lot of trainers ask me to watch their Pokemon for 'em.

[Plus he couldn't begin to imagine what it was like to be taken out, unwilling from their homes and here to Ultern. While Ultern was his own home, he knew it wasn't the same for the drifters. He's seen plenty who reacted poorly, after all.]
That and I'm more than happy to answer any Pokemon related questions! I am the Pokemon Professor around these parts after all!
no subject
Still, she shakes her head and puts together a smile. Better not make these people worry.]
You must have a lot to study! It sounds fascinating. Thanks a lot! And sorry for the trouble.
no subject
[Manzana smiled once it was clear he wasn't interrupting the two. While he had no idea why Alice was so concerned about the PC (after all, he wasn't from where she came from--) but it was good she seemed okay for the time being. That, and so where the Smolivs.]
Thank you for taking them into your care--you as well, Alice.
[He'll turn and nod over to her.]
no subject
[Professor Banyan commented with a smile. He shook his head waving the two off.]
Don't ya guys worry about it, it ain't no trouble ta me when Pokemon are involved.
