[in which the rich brat has to work for the first time in his life, probably]
Trip's sticking up flyers, apparently, as well as handing some out, advertising an odd assortment of skills, but he's also acting a bit shifty and has his hoodie up, like he doesn't want to be recognized.
"For hire.
Skills: photography, tracking, exorcism.
Prices negotiable."
Followed by some contact details.
Somebody has been too much of a spendthrift without regard for the future, refused to downgrade from his prior standard of accommodations (read: kept staying at expensive hotels), and hasn't made enough in winnings to support himself, so.

[good luck!!]
He wondered if caps and sneakers like that were popular in Pallet.
“It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Red. My name’s Trip, if I forgot to say it then.”
Red’s older, so, he gets politely addressed, unless he insists on the contrary!
“Thank you for trying to teach me back then.”
It was… fun! He wanted to say, but it sounded childish, so he didn’t. He didn’t quite know what else to say. But he wanted to express his gratitude! He even bowed.
Maybe he had time to reflect on prior bad behaviour and general fussiness, or just not being grateful enough for the opportunity then? Either way, he’s appreciative now.
(Thank you!!)
"...you can just call me Red." He nodded. It didn't feel right otherwise--he was like Trip. Just a trainer, wandering around Ultern with limited income. At Trip's words of gratitude and the bow, Red stared. In the past he had been thanked many times before--for just doing what he wanted to do at the time. It had been the same with Trip, really.
Did it feel nice to be thanked? Yes, but more than anything--
"No," he shook his head. "I should thank you. I had a lot of fun because we danced together."

If Red preferred he drop it, then, Trip will.
At hearing Red enjoyed dancing together, Trip blinked, surprised, then smiled.
"Maybe we can dance again sometime. We don't have to wait for a special occasion, right?"
Things were a bit difficult right now, but it was nice to think of something to look forward to, even if he didn't know when it might be.

"....let's do it."
Now, his attention was back to the flyer and then to Trip. He seemed to be thinking of something before clapping his hands together.
"Trip, do you have a Pokedex on you?"

There wasn't any music and he's just sticking up flyers, not to mention, he had been trying to keep a low profile... a bit too whimsical for him? And anyway, he doesn't have the energy to dance, he's hungry...
At the question, he nodded. "Yes... I still have the things I came with."
He was too sentimental to give anything up, even when he needed to, it seemed.
He showed him his black PokeDex. Fairly modern. It only has the Unovan Pokemon, however.

Now, at Trip's next response his eyes lit up in excitement. Whoa, Trip's Pokedex looked different from Ash's, but it looked much newer than his own. Smaller too! He couldn't hide his excitement but he reeled it back in to turn to Trip.
"Your flyer......" he's pointing at it. ".....one of your skills said tracking. Can you help?" He paused realizing Trip may not exactly connect all of the dots together. He stared at Trip's Pokedex for a moment before rummaging through his trusty old bag, to pull out his red, older model Pokedex. "I can't learn about new Pokemon with this thing."

He's already been asked to help collect data for Alice, he can do the same for Red.
"I already have pictures of some new—well, new to us— species I've met here. I remember best if I take pictures. I can write down what I know and ask more questions about them from the native Ulternians."
Trip went through his camera and showed Red pictures of Ulternian Blissey as an example. He took great care to take pictures of it from different angles... it was a lot like the turn-around pictures in his own PokeDex.

".....it's yellow?" He tilted his head. "The one I saw was different. Pink, with a heart shape."
He's making a heart shape with his hand and placing it a top his head. Sighing, Red shook his head.
"That's a Blissey too?"
no subject
"A... heart shape? The Blissey in my world are pink too, but I wouldn't describe them as heart-shaped. The fur on their head looks like curly hair... and the apron-like white segment's lower down on their body. They also have white fur that looks like ruffled shoulder straps, although it isn't attached to the apron-like part," he explained carefully, then looked curious. "... it's possible there's more than one form here. Could you please explain where you saw it?"
Trip would like to take pictures!

At Trip's question, Red crossed his arms trying to think back on the encounter.
"...it was around Route 3..." He then paused thinking about the incident further. "....it ran really fast."
Was that normal for Blissey? He had no clue, really. Although when he thought about it, he's had many Chanseys run away from him before back in Kanto so maybe that was normal for them.

So, that'll be his second customer! All for the same kind of job, too.

"...oh, wait." Another thought hit him. "It might take a long time finding it, since I remember how long it took me to find one before it ran off."
It was best he told Trip beforehand than sending him off without knowing. He'd feel terrible otherwise.

...... .....
Well, he'll just have to remember for him next time he saw Trip. Nodding to himself, Red re-adjusted his cap. Alright, he was sure to run into Trip again somewhere.
